Our Island is 20 minutes by motor boat from Birch Island in McGregor Bay. Built in 2013, it is a compact but complete off the grid cabin on private 9 acre Island. Designed for a couple or family of 4 with loft that can either be a king or 2 singles and a Conway (comfortable) pull out couch in the living area. Daybed in sunporch plus two tent platforms available not far from the main cabin for additional guests. Maximum of 5 people with rental and minimum of 1 week stay from Saturday to Saturday. Modern kitchen with propane stove and fridge and small table. Big screened area for dining with additional large table, makes entertaining easy. Large wrap around deck and walkway to flat rocks for sunning and swimming and another walk way back to secure harbour for fishing and paddling. A separate bath house includes a composting toilet and sink on one side, and shower and sink on the other side. Water is treated and comes in both hot and cold. Canoe, two kayaks, Walker Bay dinghy for rowing/sailing and two SUP's (Stand Up Paddleboards) available at the island for customer use. Bring your own lifejackets. McGregor Bay has long been a popular summer destination for Canadians and Americans. The maze of islands at the northern part of Georgian Bay makes for great exploring, fishing, boating and relaxing. Nearby Baie Finn and Killarney Park and village are popular day trips.
