We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved being steps from the water and were lulled at night by the sound of the surf. It was a quiet neighborhood within a quick drive from the village of Deshaies, where we could get what we needed. Our host and her son were responsive and helpful - and patient with my halting French. We definitely recommend a stay here and will come back if we can!

Die E-Mail-Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin verlief absolut problemlos. Bei der Ankunft waren eingekühlte Wasserflaschen und eine schöne Obstauswahl vorhanden. Das Haus ist mit allem Erforderlichen ausgestattet und verfügt in jedem Schlafzimmer über eine Klimaanlage, was bei den nächtlichen Temperaturen sehr von Vorteil ist. Das Haus liegt direkt an einem sehr schönen und sauberen Strand, der wenig besucht ist und bereits nach wenigen Metern ein kleines Riff zum Schnorcheln bietet. Für uns war die Lage absolut perfekt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

The beach location was great - just a few steps in the sand to the Caribbean! Geographically, the location was great for "Death in Paradise" fans - between Deshaise and Ste. Rose where most filming seems to have been. Hosts were great - dealt with Hily and he speaks English and was very hepful.

It was hard to find, initially. (Although, it was dark and raining.) Dealt with Yeli, Marie's son. He speaks English and was very helpful with general info, and our difficulty with the local internet/phone provider. The location on the beach is great - as well as the location between Ste. Rose and Deshaise sine our primary reason for coming to Gwada was the "Death in Paradise" tour.

This home is a Caribbean gem, filled with good vibrations, not only from the sound of the sea, but even more so from Yeli and and his Mom, Marie Line, who catered to our special needs and helped with all of our questions. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay a the villa. The house is quite spacious and the equipment is in good condition. The highlight was of course the wonderful terrace which offers a fantastic view of the sea and the sunset as well as the location directly on the beach with a small private staircase just ending in the sand. The beach was usually not very crowded and often we were the only ones there. One time we were even able to spot humpback whales in the distance (which rarely happens as I have learned).

L’emplacement de cette villa est exceptionnel; la mer à nos pieds, les couchers de soleil, on se pinçait de temps en temps pour être sûr de ne pas rêver! En plus, le quartier est très tranquille du fait que la rue est à sens unique. La villa est spacieuse et bien équipée, avec même le lave-vaisselle. Rien n’y manque et on s’y sent vite chez soi. Merci pour ce séjour fabuleux!

Wonderful hosts!

This is the first time I rented a property through VRBO. In all honesty, I feel in love with the house, as well as its location directly on the beach, before I even looked to see where it was located. This house is what brought us to Guadeloupe. The host was wonderful & responded right away to any questions we had... even things that weren't property-related, such as, where we could find an ATM nearby. The house was truly perfection with all the amenities you can possibly need. The weather was lovely, the beach was gorgeous, and we enjoyed the sound of the waves that lulled us to sleep every night. We didn't experience any mosquitoes, as mentioned by another guest. Perhaps it was the time of year we visited. We found there to be a constant breeze from the ocean so, perhaps, that kept any pests at bay. We'd like to thank the host for their hospitality and sharing their beautiful property with us. We look forward to visiting again.
