If you're looking for a nice, quiet Costa Rican getaway in the southern region, look no more! Nestled up within the mountain side, this home is the perfect place to spend your days or come back to after enjoying your day with all the activities Costa Rica has to offer. They have been purposeful in the amenities down to providing all that a cook needs in the kitchen. All you need to do is bring in your own groceries, fix yourself a drink, play your favorite tunes on the Sonos and spend time in the back poolside enjoying the calming view of the ocean and the plethora of wildlife. For those that want dinner out one night, it's just a short drive down the mountain to a variety of options (for a more upscale dining experience check out Mosaic or Exotica in Ojochal). Lastly but by no means least, you can take comfort in knowing that Christine & Tom will take great care of you. They are extremely accommodating and very responsive/attentive to your needs. We were very appreciative of their flexibility in our later arrival making sure to meet and get us checked-in after a long day of travel. Thanks again and look forward to our next stay!

We loved Casa Toji. Beautiful, modern, clean home up in the jungle with an amazing ocean view. Had everything we could have wanted and more. Great property managers as well. Recommended for sure.

A great place that is well kept and everything works! We enjoyed very very much our stay there. Up in the coastal mountains, It is surrounded by a wonderful tropical forest with great views of the Pacific South in Costa Rica. Casa Toji is fairly new but it is also very well maintained and well equipped in terms of appliances and kitchen utensils. We enjoyed the pool and its covered deck made it very pleasant area to stay out and enjoy. This was a favorite place of ours. As to the area of Uvita-Ojochal, we can't say enough. It is our fourth trip to this area and enjoyed it more and more each time we visit. Great place for outdoor adventures and fine dining. The Whale's Tale is definitely a place to visit and walk it. We want to thank Christine and Thomas for their attentive treatment of us during this past visit. It is reassuring to know people like them are there in case you may need something related to the place or any information about the area. We are grateful for their nice treatment. The house was beautiful and we didn’t want to leave. We have high expectations and standards and Casa Toji met all of them. The house was clean and well stocked. It had all of the cooking utensils we needed including a salad spinner, Pyrex bowls, chopping knives, storage containers, wine glasses, lots of dishes and high end pots and pans. The WiFi was strong the entire time. Netflix worked perfectly. There was lots of extra towels. The linens were soft. The laundry worked well as did the dishwasher. The house is bright and the view of the Pacific Ocean is breathtaking. The ride up the mountain in the 4x4 is so exciting and exactly the experience we were looking for. Uvita is populated and the grocery store is clean. The locals speak English and the beaches are beautiful. Tom and Christine go above and beyond like you wouldn’t believe and are extremely responsive and attentive. The house and the view and the location is better than we could have imagined. Highly recommend and we will be coming back someday.

Fantastic Sucluded Rental, nestled in the hills. Private and beautiful view.

Stayed with my wife and 2 children (11 and 13) for two weeks. This house has it all. Beautiful pool, very nice kitchen with pretty much anything you would need including Ninja coffee maker and blender. Extremely clean and well put together. The bedrooms are set up nicely and the master suit was very nice. The outdoor living area was absolutely incredible. Definitely where we spent most of our time. Jaguar property was extremely responsive and very helpful. Now for the most impressive part: THE VIEW! Walking through the front door and looking out through the sliding doors you feel like you are on top of the mountain. Pictures could never do the view justice. We absolutely loved the property and look forward to coming back. Pura Vida

We spent 11 nights at the property over Christmas and it was perfect. Christine and Tom are the most gracious hosts. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived. Everything you might need is there and more - and in perfect working order and condition. I cannot stress this enough, we're in the jungle but everything looks brand new. Also we litterally didn't hear a sound from the neighbouring houses (hidden in the vegetation) in 10 days, like we were alone on top of the world. We used the outdoor grill everyday. The children loved the Sonos system and the dozens of movies on Plex which we would watch in the hottest hours of the day. And of course they loved the pool (which has a nice lighting system at night and is quite large with sun or shade, whatever pleases you) and spending time in the outdoor area, reading in the sitting hammock, on the couches or the deck chairs. It is a nice touch that the house provides a scope to look at all the birds which dance around the house before 6am. There's also a convenient outdoor shower (again, this house is very sophisticated in all that's been thought out for the guests' enjoyment). With the amazing view and the colours and all the classy materials used for the house (the different woods! the nice bathrooms and half-bath!), you're bathed in beauty from the moment you open your eyes in the morning. The king bed in the master is excellent. The air conditioning works like a charm in every room. You may find larger houses but they might be more expensive and less elegant. Sidenote on the activities We booked 4 tours through Karol at Pacific Expeditions. Our favorite was the rafting, done by Dominical Surf Adventures, it was great. The ATV tour and the rafting tour take pictures, they can give them to you through Airdrop, Whatsapp or at the rafting place, plug in your Android to their laptop. Unfortunately the tours actually provided by Pacific (snorkeling and Corcovado) did not have good guides. Those folks didn't make it a fun experience (such a pity as Karol herself is super nice and responsive). We also did the Nauyacas waterfall with their 4×4 economical tour at 7am, it was magnificent. If you want to rent a car, plan ahead as they go fast in the peak season. Adobe has an agency in Uvita now. Should come around eighty-ninety per day.

Casa Toji was a perfect peaceful vacation for our family! The house was very clean and the pool and view were beautiful. It was fun 4 wheeling up to the property and close to many good restaurants! It was also a short drive to many fun attractions including waterfalls and beaches!
