The acres-large backyard is yours to enjoy and we encourage you to walk the land that is entirely fenced. Leave the living room window cracked open a bit at night and you'll hear serenading coyotes which frequent the property when you're all tucked in. A big, central living room fireplace offers a fan for those chilly nights that can give the home a heat burst once the fire is roaring. In the summer, we have two swamp coolers (our version of a/c) that are portable to make you more comfortable where needed. The adobe holds the cool very well due to its thick walls but if you need any additional heat or cool, there's a bathroom space heater and and extra one in the closet for coldies!! You are my honored guests and I will do anything to ensure you have a great stay!!
In response to Covid-19 & the Flu, we thoroughly disinfect the home with germicidal UVC lights, UV air cleaners & anti-viral spray. Please take a mask to town as restrictions require it. We go the extra mile during the virus to ensure your safety!
The fall is a festival of colors, with the aspen grove turning bright yellow, and a variety of shrubs turning red and orange. The winter is deeply quiet, often snow packed, convenient to the Taos Ski Valley with an airport and ski valley shuttle service just down the road. The summer is flower filled, trees lush & full that provide lots of shade during warm days. There may be some nice organic veggies for you in the greenhouse dome during the appropriate season. Wintertime the greenhouse is closed down due to the chill.
This property is committed to your healing, well being, relaxation, and enjoyment. Anything we can do to enhance your stay, we are available nearby but always afford you 100% privacy while you're here.
In the kitchen area you'll find organic coffee, teas, local raw honey, stevia, brown sugar, Himalayan salt, organic black pepper, a full spice rack plus organic olive oil for your use. We offer non-toxic and non- stick frying pans and the large green electric frying pan is also non-toxic. We do not offer a full kitchen but we provide the following appliances for your use; coffeemaker, water kettle, small convection oven, microwave, 3 in 1 Ninja cook pot, bagel toaster, electric hot plates, indoor grill, large size electric frying pan, char-broiler (in your patio) and a full size refrigerator/freeze. Additional food prep space is available on a kitchen cart with cutting boards. Please use only one major appliance indoors at a time to prevent a power outage. Combine the outdoor grill with some indoor sauté and some green chile cheese bread from Cid's and you've got a great meal!
The front door has a combination lock so no keys are needed. The door code and wifi password along with other details are on an info sheet under the TV. Locking the door is optional since we are completely fenced and this is a very safe and "end of the road" neighborhood.
Smoke what you enjoy in the patio where you'll find ashtrays.
We offer an outdoor fire pit adjacent to the jacuzzi that can be used when there is little to no wind in the forecast. Please let us know in advance of using the fire pit to prevent any unnecessary fire danger as our weather can change quickly. When in use, the fire pit must always be personally attended and put out when you're done with the hose or some snow nearby.
We want you to thoroughly enjoy the property, explore the different areas, visit the screened-in porch on the hillside for amazing views (or photos) of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and valley. You are welcome anywhere on the property during your stay.

We maintain a peaceful, quiet atmosphere and we have a 9 pm quiet time outdoors though the private jacuzzi is available 24/7.
PS. We do all the home cleaning, including the fireplace, bed linens and trash removal. If you'd like your trash removed for your lengthier stay, just let us know and we can pick it up in your patio or you can deposit in the large black trash can out in the patio.
