The climate in Pattaya is tropical, warm to hot with only little temperature drop during night time, as it is typical to the coastal regions of southern Thailand. The best travel period for the east cost is the cooler time of the year during the months of November, December, January and February. The average temperature is between 26° and 32°C during daytime. During the night it will cool down to about 20°C. The hot season of the year is during the months of March, April, May and June, when it will be 35° to 40°C hot with only little rain. For elderly people and people with cardiovascular diseases this is certainly not the ideal time of the year. In June, the rainfall period starts in Thailand.
