Highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to stay close to Dubrovnik but have lovely beaches a 5 min drive from the villa. The villa is fully equipped with everything you need and more - the outside kitchen was brilliant and lovely pool. Diana was a great host and thanks for all your help 😀 won’t forget this view from the villa!!

We booked an out of season break at Villa Maria and are so glad that we did. Diana was the perfect hostess helping us enjoy our choice before, during and after our stay! Checkin is not normally until the afternoon but we were able to check in earlier enabling us to get ourselves settled and enjoy the house to the maximum. We had fully intended on eating out frequently but found the outdoor kitchen space such an asset to the property that we ate in more than we ate out! The kitchen is a very professional set up for a holiday home. Nothing has been missed. The barbecue/grill. the gas burners, the fabulous fridge, separate ice maker and the professional dishwasher! Who wouldn't want to make full use of such facilities? Then there was the ambience! Such a perfect setting for a sunset drink and then dinner with the family. The pool, like very many others in Croatia was not heated and this did mean we were not able to use it as we thought we might, due to the autumnal dip in temperatures. This was disappointing but it is also factored in to the reduced cost of hiring the villa at this time of year. We arrived to a lovely selection of cold meats and cheeses, wine, home made liqueur, and very tasty cakes! What a fabulous start to our stay. Diana was always on hand for any questions and made dinner reservations and mini bus reservations. This was very handy but Uber is also very easy to use in the area. I have only once been to Dubrovnik before and was so excited to return, however my heart sank when even in low season, our day in Dubrovnik was spent fighting the crowds and avoiding Game of throne tours and merchandise! This is not the Dubrovnik I yearned to return to! The restaurants and bars are plentiful but far more expensive than elsewhere. This alone made our choice of Villa Maria seem even more attractive! Far from the madding crowd but close enough to visit if you desire. A standard Uber cost less than 10 Euro's to get in and out of Dubrovnik. A small price to pay when parking is such an issue within Dubrovnik. We made good use of our base and visited many wonderful places. Don't miss the remote Popovici beach for the photographic pathway down. As many know, sandy beaches are rare in Croatia and at the end of the dramatic pathway down there is a small beach but the beach was not the reward , the cliff pathway was certainly the appeal here. We also visited Cavtat. a beautiful coastal town and well worth at least half a day to explore and enjoy. We tried the boat trip from Srebreno to Dubrovnik but after waiting over an hour our boat did not appear. Apparently there had been a problem but we were left standing with no advice so this was not one of our more successful days! I think an Uber to Dubrovnik is the way to go and arrange a boat excursion to the Elafiti islands to experience even more of this beautiful area. We did this with Dubrovnik boat Tours. We had a fabulous day and I will certainly write a review on this separately. On our final day we took a visit to Ston. Wow! We were looking for something a little different and were so pleasantly surprised. This is well worth a visit for the city walls! The longest in Europe. Please take comfortable walking clothing and footwear! We did not and were therefore restricted in how much of the wall we walked. These are a few of our recommendations but Diana has a very useful book of worthy places to visit or dine. She really ensures that you are able to make the most of your stay. My final recommendation would be to ensure you do not unwittingly pick up the Bosnian phone signal! It is best to use the wifi in the house and be careful in the area. Otherwise some unexpected charges will appear on your phone tariff! If you are thinking of a villa in the area then please do not look any further! I could not recommend this villa highly enough! .

Great villa with breathtaking views! The house is beautiful and big, the outside area is very nice with clean pool. Very welcoming hosts. Looking forward to book again!

Superb villa. Great views from up in the hills above Srebreno. Very well equipped - lovely pool, indoor and oudoor kitchens......everything you need. Diana is a fantastic host - and was very generous with wine, cheese, cake, figs and home made liqueur! Only 25 minutes from Durovnik airport and 40 minutes from Dubrovnik Old Town. Could not recommend highly enough........we would go again.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers arrived at villa Maria to a wonderful welcome from Diana. After showing us round her spotlessly clean, light and beautifully decorated home we were treated to a platter of home made wild boar sausages, ham and cheese and local aperitif all made by her father! The villa itself is lovely with all the amenities you would need for a relaxing holiday. The beds are super comfy, the bathrooms modern, clean and with high pressure showers and the kitchen well equipped. The thoughtful little touches like providing washing powder, mosquito repellant, sun tan lotion, washing up liquid not to mention soaps, shampoos and slippers were very much appreciated. The outdoor space is also lovely. We were very impressed by the new outdoor kitchen which was well equipped with ice maker, fridge, dishwasher and BBQ. We played cards relaxing on the patio chairs and after my initial enquiry about sun beds before we booked the villa, Diana purchased some specially which were a very welcome addition after cooling off in the lovely pool. The villa itself is in a small village up in the hills with great views down to the coast. It is a quiet peaceful spot which is nice to return to after a busy day sightseeing. I would say a car is a must for getting about from here but with Dubrovnik and Cavtat about 10/15 minutes ride away journeys are short. There is a lidl and another supermarket not far away for groceries but as we were constantly supplied with fresh vegetables, figs and some home made cake for the world cup final we didn't need much. We thoroughly enjoyed out time at Villa Maria. From the outset we were made to feel very welcome in a home that the owners are rightly proud of. Diana and her family were so kind and thoughtful. With living next door they were on hand to help us when needed whilst also giving us space to relax. All of their little touches of kindness were so sweet topped off with them making us a wild boar casserole on our last night! We loved Croatia. The people are lovely and friendly, the scenery is stunning and the food amazing. We shall definitely be back. We arrived as guests at Villa Maria but left feeling like family. Just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at Dalmatian Villa Maria. The location is peaceful with beautiful views. The house is spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast on the balcony and dinner at the poolside. We particularly enjoyed the recently added outdoor kitchen at the poolside complete with fridge , bbq , ice machine and dishwasher. Excellent facilty. Thanks to Diana for a lovely welcome and eats and wine. All in all a great holiday . Croatia is a beautiful country .

Dalmatian Villa Maria was the perfect house for our holiday. We were a party of 8 and found the villa placed in a great location, super clean, and with all the amenities you need for your holiday. Diana is the most amazing host and always on hand if you need her. I will be back next year!

My family of six stayed in Villa Maria at the beginning of May 2017. Right from the moment we arrived Diana was welcoming and hospitable, greeting us with a glass of her Fathers home made liqueur. The villa is in a wonderful position gazing out over the whole valley to the sea in the distance. It is scrupulously fresh and clean and contains everything you would wish for including BBQ and two mountain bikes. The bedrooms are large and cool. The outside patio areas and verandas are spacious and well equipped. The pool is very clean and the perfect size for a family visit. In short it was a perfect villa with supportive and informative hosts. We would thoroughly recommend. Thanks Diana and your lovely parents.

What a fantastic place; the house is beautiful in a quiet village location but only a 5 minute drive to the local amenities. Dina was a great host who provided lots of useful information when visiting Dubrovnik; her parents are also lovely, baking cakes and providing us with fruit and vegetables. A thoroughly great holiday thanks to Diana, I look forward to booking again next year!

If you want a lavish and luxorious vacation, this is the place for you. A 5 star villa and a 5 star host. If you think the pictures are gorgeous, just wait untill you get there. Diana, her parents and all the good people she has connections with made our expirience perfect. Five things you need to know: 1. The house is amazing. Exeptionally clean upon arrival, the view is breathtaking and the location is perfect for a quiet and relaxing time but still within 15 minutes from the buzzling urban life of Dubrovnic city. 2. You will feel like home. We had 2 small children there and we felt so secure and safe in this neighbourhood. Also we are used to very clean natural water and just above the house there was a natural water spring with the cleanest water you can get, no carrying big water bottles from the store. 3. You dont´ have to worry about which places and restaurants to choose. Diana is well connected in the area and she recommended places that fit us perfectly, child friendly places etc. and if we decided on going she made sure we would get the best seats and service possible. 4. Diana is the best host. She is one of few people who has the amazing ability to always be there for your needs but is never intrusive. We were there, a big family of eight, all with some preferences and we all felt like we were in paradise. We have travelled all around the world but this stay will hardly be outdone. The villa and its owners, Dubrovnic and the neightbouring towns, the sunset, and wonderful Croation people will be in our future dreams.
