The kitchen is well-equipped for those who like to cook and there is a large dining table to enjoy the goodies the chefs prepare! Double doors lead from the living area to the master bedroom with an en suite shower room. This is a beautiful bedroom with king size bed and patio doors that lead out to the furnished terrace, a lovely spot to sit throughout the day. The family bathroom is also on the same floor. There are stairs at either end of the building leading to the further three upstairs bedrooms. For those looking for a little privacy, the second double bedroom is to one side of the upper floor, and to the other side are the two twin bedrooms. All bedrooms are beautifully furnished with quality mattresses and linens ensuring a cosy night's sleep. There is a fun mezzanine space that kids will love with bean bags and a table football table that converts to mini table tennis and snooker - hours of entertainment! Outside is as lovely as inside with the large lawned area (secure for dogs), terrace area with seating and BBQ perfect for al fresco dining. At the top of the garden you can enjoy the beautiful views across the countryside to the sea. Moohey really is a special spot, perfect for family get-togethers but also for smaller groups looking for a little luxury in the beautiful Cornish countryside whilst only being a short drive from the beach (dog-friendly all year round) and 15 minutes from the picturesque fishing town of Looe with its many shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Please note the lower ground floor of the barn is a private and unrelated residence and therefore we ask guests to mindful of noise transference. Dogs must not be left in the property unattended at any time or left to run repeatedly up and down the wooden floors. The Conch is a popular restaurant in Downderry, just a five minute drive away and down the hill in Seaton are the Smugglers Inn which has a good reputation for food and the Beach House which is another popular eatery looking out over the sea. The property is accessed on the flat of the parking area and has a ground floor bedroom and bathroom, therefore, it is suitable for some elderly guests and or those with limited mobility. Please feel free to call us to discuss further. Moohey has a Saturday changeover in June, July and August. Downderry is an ideal base for those who enjoy the coast, walking and the Cornish countryside. It is just along the coast from Looe with its bustling port and beach, harbour, shops, restaurants and pubs and the picturesque hamlet of Polperro is a fifteen minute drive. Plymouth is half an hour away by car with Truro & the north Cornish coast reachable in about an hour. For the more adventurous, Adrenalin Quarry is just a 25 minute drive away and there are great cycle trails at both Cardinham Woods and Lanhydrock (bike hire available at each).
