Ard An Dun was chosen to provide easy accessibility to Northern Ireland and the northern part of County Donegal. It turned out to be a perfect location. In our stay of three plus weeks, we were able to spend quality time exploring the nooks and crannies of the Inishowen Peninsula and enjoying the sense of "living there" rather than just "holidaying". This home provided a welcoming presence after each of our many drives in the area. Relaxing is our strong suit and Ard An Dun was perfect for this endeavor. The layout, all on one floor, afforded comfort in every respect. Choices made with regard to furnishings, linens, wall hangings and color schemes were tastefully done and inviting. All in all, this was an ideal home for us and gave us memories of our time there which we will cherish.

Amazing relaxing definitely did help with clearing the mind and I can't wait to get back 🥰🥰🥰
To me it was the house of my dreams so comfortable and cosy with the most amazing scenery the only thing I'd maybe change is maybe getting gates added to the entry way. There's shops literally 5 mins away might be a bit of a drive to other places but it's well worth it I'll definitely be back again even the people are so lovely and seem to be used to holiday makers getting lost as every time I asked for directions they gave a good aul laugh before helping 🤣🤣🤣 I'm literally only home 24hrs and I miss it you've the best of both worlds you've the peace and quiet then you can go and have your family day with your pets to what more could you want 😊😊 Mary thank you so much for giving me and my family the opportunity to stay in your beautiful house ❤️

Lovely house in a beautiful spot.
Lovely house. Clean and spacious. Lots of lovely wee extras like a welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits which was a lovely touch after a long drive. All the family had a lovely time :) 2 mins from the town centre by car and a short drive to many attractions.

Absolutely perfect...everything was spot on...location great...5 min drive into Buncrana ......house spotless and very comfortable....large sized rooms....very spacious...large garden...ideal for both families and/or couples ...Mary ,the host,was most obliging ...in fact it was so good we booked an extra night on our last day.Highly recommend.

We spent a few days at the house and I must say it was beautiful. We felt really comfortable and the location is so handy to the town and alot of the sightseeing we went to visit. We will definitely book this house again. The owner Mary is very helpful and understanding. The welcome pack we received was very thoughtful and much needed after a long journey. I would highly recommend booking this house.

Great base for Donegal stay
We stayed here the start of August 2022 whilst attending the clonmany festival.. Great house.. clean and tidy .. everything that you need.. Even games to keep the kids entertained in the irish rainy weather.

Lovely family home ideally located.We stayed for a week with our 2 smallies aged 5 & 7.Mary was a most accommodating host with nothing a bother and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated after the long drive.Great outdoor space also and an ideal base to explore the wider Donegal area.Hope to back in the future thumbs up all round!

Lovely and comfortable house
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in this very comfortable house. We loved the large and well equipped kitchen which was so cosy. The rooms are bright with lots of storage space and comfortable beds. It was great to have two bathrooms as a family of four. There is also a large garden which would have been great if the sun was shining :-). We were also well looked after by the owner and absolutely recommend the house. Although it is on a road, it is very quiet, especially at night. Thank you for a lovely and very pleasant stay!

Home from Home
What a lovely family home this is. I went with my husband, 2 young children and dog and we all had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Good size rooms and great space outside for dog to run around the garden. Mary was very accommodating and kept us up to date on directions and all instructions for managing the house. Great location to Buncrana town, we will would definitely recommend.

The house was very well presented,roomy & comfortable,nice distance out of the town.....good quiet location,all that u need supplied,central heating & open fire,lots of outside space & plenty of activity leaflets provided.....fantastic stay....short but most enjoyable...a real hidden gem....
