Stayed 3 nights at this brilliant cottage. Loved every minute. Cottage is spotlessly clean and well equipped. The lake just outside the cottage has loads of wildlife and is best seen from the hot tub as the sun goes down. Angela and Shaun are very friendly and helpful and are on hand should you need anything. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

No wonder this place doesn't have a bad review in sight... It's perfect! From the minute we arrived and saw the welcome package, how clean the cottage was and how stunning the surroundings were we know we were in for a great week. The owners are so accommodating and friendly! If you are even considering booking this place we would just say go for it!!

My fiance and I spent 5 nights in this gorgeous cottage! Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly host, Shaun. He took us around the cottage and gave us local places to visit reassuring us that he and his family who run the cottages were around day or night if we needed them. While this was lovely to know, at the same time we felt complete freedom during our stay and no pressure to be sociable! There is a lovely hot tub which is well looked after. The hot tub in cleaned and hoovered out regularly and chlorine is changed daily making you feel like you can truly relax with the views of the Brecon beacons and the sound of bleeting sheep. The hosts had also put together a welcome pack for us of homemade bara brith - a Welsh delacacy, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and even milk in the fridge. There is a very informative and thorough booklet inside the cottage with important information as well as walks and other local activities to do. The cottage is extremely isolated, through a very quiet village, nearly 2 miles up a country road and then a further third of a mile down the drive, while this definitely has its advantages, it would be nice if a pub was in easy walking distance. However, I do understand with the location and the sheer beauty of the area this wouldn't be possible. We brought bubbles for the hot tub with us and they went down as easily as any pint would have! All in all a terrific getaway and one I would book again in a heartbeat.

Just got back from a fab long weekend. The lodge was great and we couldn’t get enough of the peace and quiet in such a beautiful location. The owners are lovely and so welcoming and everything was provided and very clean. We loved having the hot tub to chill out in after walking in the beautiful countryside. There is lots to see and do in the area. I would highly recommend 😄

We hebben een fantastische week gehad in the lodge. Alles wat je nodig hebt voor een fijne vakantie. Prachtige natuur en wandelingen in de buurt. De lodge zelf is super. Alles was netjes en schoon, kleine details maken alles af. Verse bloemen op tafel, een vruchtencake en pakje melk stond al voor ons klaar toen we aan kwamen. De hot tub was natuurlijk heerlijk om s avonds in te ontspannen. Ook de eigenaren waren erg vriendelijk en hadden veel goede tips over de omgeving. Echt fantastisch!

A peaceful break in beautiful surroundings. We would thoroughly recommend the Lodge which is well specified and comfortable. The owners who live on site are very friendly and helpful and were useful with tips for walks and nearby attractions. There are walks from the property and some spectacular walks a short drive away. It is idyllic sat in the hot tub with a drink watching the birds and wildlife and we will be returning in the future.

Outstanding place to get away. Smart indie shop Llandeilo close by. Castles, walks, National Botanic Garden and slightly further to the coast, Dylan Thomas’s retreat in Laugharne is a must visit. The book shops in Hay on Wye are a scenic drive away. Or, hey, why not sit back and relax? Friendly owners, hot tub (still dreaming about it) and a lovely welcome pack. Thank you Angela and Shaun.

What else can I say, we had the most amazing week here and We never wanted to leave !!!! I booked the lodge as a 30th birthday surprise for my partner and boy did it live up to standards. I did a lot of research and found this little gem with fantastic reviews and couldn’t find anything to top it. We’ve always stayed in lodge’s so a cottage was something a little different, but it had everything we could want and more ! It was brilliant to come back at the end of cold, muddy day and snuggle down on the sofa or take full advantage of the very secluded and picturesque hot tub. We couldn’t ask for a better week and more amazing time, thank you so much we’d so happily come back again in a heartbeat ! Xxx

so we stayed in the middle of storm Emma. it didn't ruin it at all. snowed into a tranquil and cosy cottage with a hot tub... with great hosts and lovely views... couldn't be better for a relaxing break. Shaun and Angela were helpful, respectful and always open for a chat. :) area is lovely with loads of walks, so we shall be back minus the "beast from the east" .

Wow what a fantastic little gem of a place. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay to celebrate the hubs birthday in the lodge cottage. Angela greeted us to show us around with a lovely warm reception, nothing is too much trouble for these guys. They supplied everything we needed from a lovely welcome hamper (with yummy bara brith) to towels, washing up liquid and everything in between. The cottage is cleaned to such a high standard, not a spec of dust or dirt to be seen. Being sat in the hot tub with a nice glass of something in the evening with clear skies and the twinkle of the stars just topped it off for us. Highly recommend this place to everyone, we will be rebooking very soon
