Returning home today after a lovely few days staying at Robin Cottage. A lovely location and well presented. The welcome basket with Tea and Coffee and Bara Brith were appreciated. We were made to feel very welcome and the cottage was spotless, likewise so was the hot tub. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay away from the everyday distractions, I would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic two night stay in Robin Cottage overlooking the lake and watching the wildlife from the hot tub. It's the perfect spot to unwind. The views from the back of the cottage are stunning and there is plenty of space plus a play park for the kids to entertain themselves. There are lots of walks from the doorstep but it's also a fantastic base for trips to West Wales or the Brecon Beacons. The little welcome pack with tea, coffee and Bara Brith was also lovely and the cottage has everything you could possibly need for your holiday. Also, we could tell great care had been taken to ensure the cottage was clean and check-in as easy and contactless as possible to comply with the Covid-19 rules. All in all it was a fantastic couple of days, we'd definitely stay again.

This holiday cottage (Owl) is very small in terms of living space, the seating and dining area are very compact. The bedrooms are better sized. The accommodation is well equipped and well heated, very clean and well appointed, there was a welcome Bara Brith and flowers. The outside surroundings are the best of the National Park, the lake and ducks are lovely with birdsong the only sound. The hot tub was one of the best I’ve experienced, it was spotlessly clean and retained its heat well. The spring sun fell on it for a lengthy period and it was an excellent amenity. The owners/operators live on site and have a constant presence. I could hear them checking the recycling bin outside our property early morning after the first night! They also clean and check the hot tub twice a day, thinly disguised policing of the accommodations. My daughter came down to bring my husband’s asthma inhaler (he has severe sleep apnoea and asthma and we had forgotten the inhaler) and I was expecting to be able to offer her a coffee and biscuits outside which is in line with WG rules about maximum six people meeting outside. We also all live in the same house while they renovate! I can only say my daughter and her partner were verbally set about by both owners as soon as they parked and then harangued further by an elderly lady from a window about the damage we might do playing beer pong and throwing the hot tub lid into the grass for some reason, though we had been there one night already. They were not really concerned about covid rules and we felt targeted without knowing why. It’s for everyone to make their own choices, the welcome you receive stays long in the memory and these individuals did not recommend themselves or give a Welsh welcome.

January weekend away with a lovely welcome and local food hamper. Clean comfortable house. Enjoyed a local walk with an evening in the hottub. Recommend house anytime of the year.

A warm welcome with a small hamper with tea coffee and hot chocolate with a wonderful fruit cake milk in the fridge for us So quiet and relaxing would recommend to my friends wonderful hot tub excellent cottage really clean and well equipped it has everything you need x

Superb cottage, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need. Great hosts, very friendly and keen to please. On arrival we had the most lovely welcome pack consisting of welsh tea, coffee and hot chocolate coupled with the most delicious loaf of bara brith and welsh butter! We were after a few relaxing few days away and certainly got that in the lovely quiet rural surroundings, moreover the private hot tub got top marks from both of us! What a lovely way to chill out no matter what the weather! Would certainly love to go back!

We came here with our two young sons for a honeymoon/holiday, we were greeted by Shaun who was very friendly, shown around the cottage, we were surprised with a bottle of prosecco and a beautiful welsh hamper, which was a lovely touch. The bara brith is simply beautiful the best I’ve tasted! The cottage was fantastic and has everything you could possible need, every little detail was thought of. The on-site laundry room was a big hit for me, nothing worse than taking home a pile of washing. The surroundings were beautiful and the boys thoroughly enjoyed the park onsite and especially the hot tub! I think we all enjoyed the hot tub. We visited many local attractions that were recommended by Angela and Shaun. Maesydderwen cottages are beautiful, the welcome is fantastic, the surroundings are just beautiful, we really didn’t want to come home. We will definitely be coming back again soon and would recommend anyone who is looking for that peaceful and tranquil holiday to give mawsydderwen a try, it literally caters for everyone and anyone.

Had a wonderful weekend break in owl cottage, to celebrate husbands 50th birthday! Was welcomed by Mary, Angela and Shaun, given advice on surrounding areas and how to use the hot tub, lovely treats were in the cottage for both us and our dog! There was 4 of us staying altogether and plenty of room for the dog in the outside area , which was securely cordoned off! My daughter loved the hot tub and we enjoyed the scenic country walks! Overall a lovely weekend and we would highly recommend , it was nice to escape the city life to a lovely tranquil countryside.

I booked this cottage as a surprise for my partners birthday . It was for just the 2 of us to have a nice relaxing weekend and we did it was so peaceful and beautiful there I wish we could of stayed longer and we will definitely be back again. Thanks you very much.

We stayed in a quaint little cottage with lovely relaxing hot tub backing onto fantastic Forrest views. The owners Mary, Shaun and Angela were lovely and always had time to chat and offer advise on places to view and eat. We even ended up sat next to them one night in the town pub restaurant😂 The views around the 42acre land were amazing and we used the hot tub in the day and also on evenings which was so relaxing. The cottage was perfect for our stay and really well furnished and modern. The owners welcomed us on our arrival at the cottage and they had put out a welcome pack of home made fruit cake, locally home made apple juice and local made Welsh butter which was a nice touch. They also supplied all the cleaning product and cooker foil etc and even tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk in the fridge which saved a shopping trip on our first day. Would definitely recommend this for a relaxing stay and if you go I suggest you visit the Red Kite Feeding Centre even if bird watching not your thing its amazing and go see the Carreg Cennen Castle which is really interesting and has a lovely gift shop and cafe.
