We had a great time at Casa Calibri. We spent a few nights as we visited la fortuna. Host and family were very kind and helpful. The property was beautiful and the pool was just perfect. Thank you.

Very good communication with the host Arnaldo. Easy check in with codes: no keys. The house was very clean. With four bedrooms the house was quite big but very comfortable for our family. The kitchen and furniture are a bit basic, but all new- seems to be recently built or renovated. For shops and restaurants it is a 15 minute drive through the hilly countryside, which was very green and lush when we were there in the rainy season.

Nous sommes restés 2 familles. Il y avait beaucoup de places pour nous tous. La maison était très propre et bien entretenue. Les lits étaient confortables. La vue extérieur était superbe. Les propriétaires étaient sympathiques et la communication était simple. Les deux seuls petits points plus négatifs mais c’est vraiment minimes serait la présence de fourmis dans la cuisine. Donc, nous devions mettre tout dans le frigo. L’autre petit point négatif est que la maison était à 15 minutes de route de La Fortuna. Nous pensions que c’était plus proche. Sinon, nous donnons tout de même un 5/5.

The house was perfect, clean and it smelled really good when we got there. We had more space than needed for our family of four, which is wonderful. The pool was cleaned everyday. The kitchen was awesome. So nice to have a washing machine and dryer. We loved it!

Beautiful property. We’ll equipped kitchen. Terrace was awesome to hang out on in the evening. Arnaldo was very responsive and communication was easy. It’s about 10km outside of La Fortuna. Easy drive to and from, but convenience store was nearby off essentials were needed. There is also a few roosters to make sure you get up and out of the house to enjoy the many adventures the area offers. Great place. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in La Fortuna at Casa Colibri. The home was perfect and the pool and landscaped surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Arnaldo was a great communicator and very helpful. We had so much fun in La Fortuna! We went white water rafting, zip lining, El Salto, and Arsenol. The food was incredible and the people were so friendly and engaging. We can't wait to go back.

We stayed in La Fortuna for 3 days with our 2 teenage boys. The house was perfect for us and there were so many things to do in the Arenal area. Arnaldo was very tentative and was our personal concierge during our stay! He arranged many of our activities and made everything during our visit easy. He is a gem and went above and beyond for us. The house is not right in La Fortuna but is only a short drive to town and very easy to get to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Fortuna at Casa Colibri ! The house was very spacious, the outdoor patio was beautiful and the pool was simply amazing! Arnoldo was wonderful to work with and was very helpful with arranging trips etc. We would highly recommend this home for your next vacation!

Communication with the owner appears to only be done through VRBO and was a bit of an issue for me as my internet wasn't working well around lake arenal en route to the home, so I had to wait for responses from the owner when figuring out the check in process. The place is nice and modern and a close location to fortuna and springs. Plenty of room and beds for guests. Nice pool with waterfall and the Alexa controls was a nice touch. Washer and dryer a plus. The grounds were very clean. There was a specialty coffee included that was a nice touch.A few things needed fixing though ,the ceiling fan over the dining room table did not work, also in the kitchen the ceiling fan only stayed on a low speed as well as there being no kitchen stovetop hood for ventilation, so it gets pretty hot in the kitchen when cooking . Ac units worked and were in each room ,except there isn't any AC in the main spaces(kitchen,dining room and family room, and the two fans to move air out there, one doesn't work,other only moves very slowly). The keypad to enter took a few minutes to figure out and the plastic screen was broken off and attached with two little bandaids, I had to reattach it a few times during my stay there. It is the jungle ,but there were a few dead bugs along the wall in the kitchen when I entered the home. The stovetop had no directions and took a good 15 minutes for me to figure it out.(directions left by stovetop would alleviate that issue) As well as directions to use the tv/ cable . The bathrooms had no ventilation fans so you had to open the small window when using . The refrigerator had no door shelves at all seemed to have been removed so not much space.2different small dogs that visited that were cute , but when I arrived there was dog hair and a little dog poop on the back patio. Wasn't a big issue for me ,but for some that are allergic to dogs this could be an issue. There were two hammocks on th back patio, but the one directly in front of the pool had a big tear in it and was not usable. One of the bathrooms had a big area of tile that was bulging out and exposed cracks . Lastly the gardener showed up in the late morning to work around the house , again the grounds were nice ,but it would have been nice if they did that while you weren't trying to relax but the pool in privacy ,like another time later. All in all though these small things needing fixed aren't enough to stop me from staying there again , and I would rebook for the future
