We spent in Fantasy Villa one month and were fully satisfied with our staying.
Advantages are:
- friendly hosts - Swedish family, they are very nice, communicative and speak English fluently, we enjoyed talked to them. Also they were ready to answer any questions.
- we chose the apartment for its location - it is perfect! Quiet place, walking distance to the beach is 14 min only and you will go by the road which is wide and with sidewalk that is not usual for Phuket;
- surrounding is also better than anywhere: beautiful villas, palms and even gym just opposite to the villa!
- all facilities are in 7-min walking distance: supermarket 7/11, Friday and Monday night market which is worth to visit not only ones, pharmacy, laundry, some points of Thai massage and even famous Oasis spa, Swedish bakery and some nice restaurants (local and European meals),
- clean and spacious common swimming pool! There are some balls which children can use for their games. There are also many comfortable sun beds, so you may be happy to stay all the day near the pool.
- Apartment are very spacious (especially kitchen area - it is huge);
- Comfortable beds and mattresses;
- mosquitos nets on some windows so you can let the fresh air come into;
- kitchen is well-equipped: large fridge with separate section for fruits and vegetables, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and very useful gas cooker;
- all we needed additionally for the kitchen was quickly provided by hosts (large knife, large cooking pot, etc.);
- spacious terrace was fantastic! We moved the table and the chairs to the terrace and were eating there all the time, even in the evenings. Just switch on a fan to avoid mosquitos;
- there is also long balcony along both bedrooms, we didn’t use it, just opened doors to the balcony to let fresh air come into the bedrooms;
- hosts provided us with parking place, baby chair and baby cot;
- there is a bar near the pool which is open during the high season as we understand, so you may take there glass of wine, beer or refreshments;
- there are two sofas in the living room which can be used as additional beds;
- there are fans in every room and on terrace;
- huge and modern TV (plasma) with sound system.
There were just few things which caused some inconvenience to us:
- no aircon in the living room, fan is not enough especially when we were cooking. We had to switch on aircons in both bedrooms that was not enough but much better. However, when using 2 unnecessary aircons (located in bedrooms) we spent more electricity than we could spent having aircon in living room/kitchen (but we payed for the electricity additionally because of long stay so if it is included in price it can be ok for you);
- water heating system was very strange: temperature of the water was always moving from hot to cold, never stable on warm, even if we didn’t turn regulator,
- the baby cot was without proper mattress, for short staying it can be ok (I thought that it was quite usual for Thailand however all other hotels we stayed in provided baby cot with baby mattress).
There are some small issues can be improved to make staying more comfortable:
- to check and fix boxes in the dressers;
- to provide wardrobe or coat hangers (we took some from our home and there were some hooks on the back side of the door in master bedroom so it was ok for us).
It is important to know that Fantasy villa fantastic suites to staying group of families/friends because you can rent 2 bedroom apartment and some studios and to get complete privacy and your own enough space at the same time.
