The Jetty is set back in the second row on Sandhills holiday park with views over Christchurch bay. It’s a two minute walk to Avon beach, where you can eat at a couple of cafe’s, drink at the Haven pub, or the Nelson tavern, and enjoy fine dining at either the “Noisy Lobster “ or the “Jetty” restaurant if you want to. There are also more cafe’s in walking distance further back inland. But the real beauty of this break is in the mobile home named the Jetty. With it’s leather reclining sofa, it’s leather recliner looking out over Christchurch bay, the king size bed, the dishwasher, WiFi, , along with a beautifully kitted out home, makes this a great place to stay. We didn’t explore the site so much, nor use the wrap around decking as it was December, but it’s all there if you want. All this, accompanied by great staff from Mudlife, makes a great holiday.

The location was great and the Jetty was in a superb location for the beach and also for visiting the surrounding area.. Everything we needed in the Jetty was there for us. i was a little concerned in the middle of our holiday when next to where we was staying the site decided to get the local tree surgeon in to start to dismantle a very tall tree, at NO point was we advised this was going to happen and i felt it was a health and safety issue so i felt we was forced out of the property and therefore we decided to go out for some 5 hours. When we returned the tree surgeon had totaly blocked off the road to where we had to get to and this road is a one way system . When i asked how long they would be i was told 30 or 40 minutes , really they could not be bothered. My wife decided to do a film of what they were doing as we felt it was not safe. i then went up to complain at the booking in office where Dianne the manager said she would do what she could, this was not good enough until i raised a point about health and safety and should you be cutting trees down in June ? what about the birdies nesting in the trees . Then it stopped. We then sent the video to the people who are there to help you out if you have a problem, their reply was " THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND ALSO WE HAVE CARAVANS COMING AND GOING ALL THE TIME " It does'nt say this on the web site . I did ask for a days rental back because i did feel we was forced out for the day . I am still waiting . i would have recomended this to some of my friends but because of the tree surgeons and caravans coming and going all the time i wouldnt recomend it. Sorry. i look forward to a reply i may get from this review.

We’ve been staying on this site for nearly 25 years and never been disappointed. Swimming pool located in front of main building with only and few yards away from the beach. The Jetty number 96 was located with lovely inner harbour views and lovely sun sets well presented and clean. For us it’s the best on site and the management kept in touch to make sure our time spent in the van was a relaxing and peaceful stay. Will visit again providing the prices stay reasonable but the site seems to be putting up a lot more exclusive lodges.

What a lovely place to stay clean bright and welcoming can honestly say it’s one of the best places I have stayed in. The weather was so cold but we were cosy and warm and very comfortable. Alexander’s fish and chips a must. Visited for the first time old Harry’s rocks Well worth a visit but allow plenty of time . Definitely stay again thank you

The Jetty has everything perfect beach location, wonderful views of the harbour and amenities all in walking distance. This is a perfect place to relax with family and even the dog. The walks are great and if you do get tired the bus service is right outside the gate.

I’ve been visiting Sandhills for most of my life and love the place. We always try to get down there at least once a year and I think we’ve found our new favourite place to stay. We found The Jetty to be lovely and clean and kitted out with everything you might need. It’s ideally situated one row back from the front with a great view of the harbour. Definitely hope to return on our next jaunt down to Mudeford Peter, Tracy and family

Wow. Where to start... Amazing views Bottle of wine and a welcome card .. Lovely and clean Everything you could ask for in the kitchen..lounge.. bedroom and the little touches like torches..dog bowls tin foil all thoughtful touches if needed..

Lovely views of the sea, local places to eat, we love the little ferry across to Hengistbury Head. The Jetty is truly our happy place.

A really fantastic setting - with beautiful view of the harbour. Situated in a lovely peaceful holiday park with super on site swimming pool and bar area. Beach is literally on the door step. Impressed with the immaculate standards in the mobile home which was equipped with everything we needed. Some nice additional features like wall mounted TV’s in both bedrooms and selection of games & puzzles for the kids. Thanks also to owners to Jane & Ian - nothing too much trouble and very smooth booking. We will definitely be back again.

We love staying in The Jetty , we stayed here last summer and again this May and have just booked to come back again in sept ! The beach is on the doorstep and The Jetty has a lovely view of the Harbour and it’s tucked away in a corner so nice and peaceful sitting on the veranda and it catches the sun most of the day .The Jetty is well equipped with everything you need and very comfortable and clean . Also being pet friendly we can bring our Cavapoo with us . Looking forward to coming back in September .
