Philadelphia är en av de mest historiska städerna i Amerika och en perfekt plats för en helg – helst en riktigt lång en. Missa inte Liberty Bell och Independence Hall där konstitutionen och självständighetsdeklarationen skrevs under. Både platserna ingår i den historiska parken Independence National Historic Park. Philadelphia har även några utmärkta konstmuseer, t.ex. Rodin Museum. Franklin Institute Science Museum är en av de många platser där Benjamin Franklin – stadens mest kända ansikte utåt – hyllas. När du är mätt på all historia kan du sätta tänderna i en klassisk ”Philly cheese steak sandwich”, som är en riktigt rejäl smörgås.
