Dear Valued Guest,
Greetings from Savoy Palace Hotel on sunny Madeira Island. Firstly, please allow us to reply to your comment in English and not in your native language. We always encourage every discerning hotel guest or visitor to give us their constructive comments and feedback in order to allow us to continuously improve our service standards. Thus, we thank you for making the time to share your thoughts about the recent visit at our brand new property. We sincerely regret to read that it turned out to be a less positive one and shall investigate further into the matter. It comes to us as a surprise and it makes us extremely disappointed not having met your expectations on the occasion. Nonetheless, we wish to bring to your attention that at the time of your visit, the Jacarandá Lounge & Club was the main area for dining and therefore the access was limited to hotel guests in the evenings in order to preserve their comfort and privacy whilst enjoying their meals. Since the Savoy Palace is a family five star hotel, we wish all guests to feel at ease and dress comfortably. During the day, casual clothing is allowed if appropriate. As every evening is a special occasion at our hotel, the dress code in the evenings is smart chic. After 6.30pm dresses, skirts, blouses, dress slacks for ladies are preferred, while gentleman are required to wear long trousers, a suit coat, no denim or shorts. This applies in the designated areas of the hotel and children of 12 years and older are expected to follow the same dress code as the adults. Dress code is a common practice in five star hotels and we always advise courteously every single guest in regards to our polices and conducts. The Savoy Palace has opened on the 1st of July under a soft opening mode and every guest has been duly advised prior to arrival regarding the construction works taking place onsite. The hotel is now coming together and all services and facilites made available to our valued guests. We can assure you that the levels of noise and disturbance are down to a minimum and we remain fully committed to making every stay at our hotel a memorable one. We hope this event has been a misunderstanding and very much look forward to having the pleasure of your visit in a near future. It will be our privilege to provide you with a more pleasant experience next time. On behalf of the entire Savoy Palace Team, we convey the warmest regards and «muito obrigado». Yours sincerely, José António Pereira - General Manager.
