One night art suite' 2 nights chalet. Good food fab breakfast. Relaxed feel. Despite being told we will be told about history of hotel and snow mobile aurora which neither happened. Still fabulous. A bucket list trip with everything I expected.
We stayed 1 night in a cold room and 1 night in a lodge (“hot room”). The cold room was a real experience I would recommend to everyone, but only for 1 night! You have to change and leave everything in a locker before you head to your room, but the sleeping bag they provide keeps you super toasty. The rooms are all open during the day for people to visit so you won’t be able to get into them before 6pm, but given the -5C temperature, you probably won’t be hanging out there anyway. We enjoyed the cocktails in the lounge bar, and the food at the Ice Hotel restaurant was great (dinner and breakfast). We were less impressed with the Old Homestead (only other place to really eat), but it was fine for one dinner. There are limited things to do so bring a book or fill the daylight hours with tours/activities.…
Extremely friendly staff, a experience i will never forget. Talent of the ice rooms, drinks at the ice bar was amazing and tasteful, dog sledding and smowmobilling out in the Swedish Lapland had the most beautiful scenery. Will highly recommend for anyone and will be back one day in the near future.
Just come back from a stay to the Ice Hotel. Our holiday was arranged by RB Collection in Litchfield. Well, what can I say. From start to finish everything was an experience. We spent one night sleeping in the Winter Hotel in room 206 and two nights in the 'warm room'. Didn't sleep very well on the ice, but that was down to me. The whole experience was amazing. We had breakfast and dinner at the Ice Restaurant which we couldn't fault. The food on New Years Eve was excellent. Every member of staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. We done the snowmobile tour and very lucky enough to see the Northern Lights in its full glory. Our Guide was great and would definitely recommend you doing this.
Such a cool mix of an art installation and hotel. We spent about 90 minutes just going through the various rooms. You will need a room key or a ticket to get into the design rooms. FYI if you want heated rooms they have those available to stay and they are really really comfortable, staff was super friendly and nice. Make sure to book a taxi or airport transfer early early - there is no regular taxi service at this airport. Also book your activities early for this hotel and be aware the northern lights tours are totally weather dependent so if you’re staying more than a couple of days book two.
