This tastefully decorated thatched cottage is the epitome of rural Norfolk yet less than five minutes from golden sandy beaches. Beautifully and comfortably equipped throughout with a rear garden for that BBQ. You have the option of renting a double bedroom with en suite shower, lounge with log burner and kitchen and another bathroom. Or rent the whole cottage with three more bedrooms. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we would not hesitate to stay there next time we visit Norfolk. Highly recommended. Tricia and Richard S.W France
My father and I booked Grange Cottage at the last minute for a two-night, family tree research trip. We booked the day before, and were certain only the dregs would be left with B&B options. Boy, were we wrong! I loved the little photo on TripAdvisor, but being the cynic that I am, I thought they'd probably photographed the best bit of the house and the rest would be cookie-cutter and boring. Wrong again! I actually think they should include a bigger photo to show how incredibly gorgeous this little place is! It's classic chocolate-box England, inside and out. We were greeted by our host, Kim, with a warm welcome, a pot of steaming tea and a plate of yummy biscuits. She settled us into our rooms - welcoming without being intrusive. The rooms were both lovely - I had the single room, which was tastefully and sympathetically furnished with a soft blue patchwork quilt on the bed, an easy chair, a small TV, a little kettle, and a fabulous old wooden door with a lock. My father had a double room, with a beautiful white theme, crisp white bed linens, a view of the adorable back garden, and all the above amenities. He also has a very dodgy back and he slept like a log both nights, as did I - jolly comfy mattresses! There was a shared shower room/toilet for these two rooms - apparently a third, double room has its own en-suite. The shower room was lovely - a good, enthusiastic shower, none of this 'drip, drip' business! The breakfast.... Oh, the breakfast! Well, let me tell you, it was perfect - we started with cereal, yogurts and fruit, before being pampered rotten with a delicious, generous cooked full English with all the trimmings. Finished with as much toast as we could manage to force down, and pot after pot of tea. Our host rather got into the spirit of things too, with our genealogical search - she equipped us with maps and need-to-know details about the local area. And the whole house was spotlessly clean - they obviously take great pride in their lovely little cottage. This little place was truly magical - we can't wait to come back!…
Enjoyed my stay at Grange Cottage last week. It was beautiful inside and out with a lovely garden. The owner was very nice and breakfast was good. It was very good value and there were a couple of friendly yellow labs that we liked
Mycket rekommenderas. Åh, och ägare ger mycket bra tips på kvällen äter-out, i vårt fall Walcott, ett par mil längs närliggande upptagen men utomordentligt vänliga fyr.
