We stayed at this old plantation house, in the Library Suite on the main floor. (We had booked a different suite, but it turned out to be double booked.) Our wood-panelled room was nicely furnished, with comfy bed and small but modernized bathroom. Lots of space to hang out in the public areas, including a large lanai. We took a swim in the (unheated) pool, which was refreshing, and made use of an adjacent pool house. For the price we were paying I would have expected something more for breakfast (it calls itself a BnB.) There was a Keurig coffee maker and some breakfast pastries - but you had to pay for these. Also, no fresh fruit that I could find. Fortunately, there's a nice coffee shop (Kohala Coffee) just down the road.
We stayed at one of the cottages on this lovely property two weeks ago. It was very comfortable and clean. The service was great, and we felt welcome and at home immediately. The location is walkable (1 block!) to downtown Hawi, with shops, restaurants and galleries. It is very close to the ocean, being at the northern tip of the island. We were able to see a variety of sights within a short drive, including the amazing Pololu Valley.
