The outer door to our room required significant force to open. The bathroom door was out-of-alignment and did not close completely. The shower control knob was not attached - had to be held in place to use. The breakfast buffet was the least of any of the nine places we stayed on this trip. The single clothes dryer available to guests malfunctioned. The front desk staff did a good job of covering problems, for example by drying our wet clothes in the hotel's machine. But they shouldn't have to. Overall impression - "running on empty".
This hotel was a fine stop for an evening. Check in was straightforward and all staff I interacted with were pleasant. For the most part, the room was clean and crisp, a very standard modern hotel room. It seems well built and fairly new. The breakfast provided was adequate for me, although I agree with a previous reviewer that at least as of August 2021, this hotel is serving a severely reduced COVID breakfast menu without much variety. As ever in American hotels, I wish they had reusable plates/etc rather than disposable. They did have a hot option of scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage; the eggs were the usual powdered kind you find in hotels and just as watery and uninspiring as they are most other places. There's plenty of parking. I never had a single issue with the internet, and used it all day across multiple devices for work, including video calls. The staff was gracious enough to allow me a 1pm late checkout, which was a big help. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. Small things that made this a 4 instead of a 5 for me -- a burn mark or smear on the bathroom wall near the toilet was fairly noticeable and unfortunate, and one of the sheets had a light stain on it. (Everything seemed washed well; I am not worried about whether this was sanitary; mostly just a looks thing.) Also, the in-room refrigerator did not have a user-adjustable temperature control and was running way too cold, and froze my food solid in a couple hours. This happens to me at probably half the hotels I'm in and I don't know why -- but it's not what one should expect from a refrigerator. While most other Fairfield hotels in the area have already brought back the full hot breakfast buffets, this particular hotel seems to be even offering less items than a few months ago. Very minimal breakfast items are offered and this hotel doesn’t even offer the breakfast sandwich that every other Fairfield hotel is currently offering!! I would suggest another Fairfield hotel if your looking to enjoy a breakfast.
Great price and a new property too. Eassy to find location. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful in getting us settled after our late arrival. Only one concern, the shampoo dispenser was empty.
