They did respond, saying that renovations were planned. I would make sure those are done before staying here again!

All of these reviews are bad. My daughter is supposed to stay there with a friend who has health issues. You said over a year ago that renovations were being planned but it sounds like nothing has ever been done, all elevators were broken and even the automatic doors were not working. Are there rooms that were EVER renovated? What is the cancellation policy of this hotel?
For a person with health issues, I'd be concerned about the vastness of this property. It might have been a $3 Uber ride from my room to the lobby, but I have positive memories of the place. Curious to ask the TA faithful about an hotel policy. I recommend asking the property.

I'm very concerned about my reservation now after reading all of the bad reviews. I'm not sure this is the right place for me. I don't want to stay in a dump...I would rather book at a motel 6 and save money if in fact this place is a bad as everyone has mentioned. Can someone reassure me before I cancel my reservation?
I personally would cancel my reservation if I knew ahead what I know about this motel. Their excuse for everything wrong was "we''re planning a big remodel". I only stayed one night & was uncomfortable, both with the cleanliness of the room & the safety of the security. Good luck!

Conveniently i can't respond to the owners response, since i already reviewed this hotel. But my response to the response below is out of all the things that i mentioned all you had to say was about the pictures? Unless you plan on adding more floors to the hotel there is no way possible that the view shown in the pictures can be from any of your rooms. Your hotel is only 3 stories tall that picture has to be taken from at least the 5th floor minimum. In other words you're conning people with a super imposed picture making it seem like a tall building when in fact it is not. Don't believe the pictures… These were taken by a drone or from some other location. The view you have will be of the parking lot or of a rooftop. The place overall is a dump, dingy and needs a major overhaul.
