1. This is situated near the Paro market. It is 12 min walk from Mountain cafe. It is a small house constructed on side of slightly elevated road, on the other side of which is a river. 2. The home itself is a small two story home with two small rooms for dining and three medium size rooms upstairs. Two face farm and one faces river. Unfortunately the room with view of river does not have balcony 3. Rooms are modestly furnished. You can ask for water but kettle can not be provided as they have just one in kitchen. The bed is okey, carpets are worn and curtains are okey. But know that you may actually feel a bit put off with the smell of paan all over the house. 4. The host is wonderful and has two small daughters who are very cute. Shree is talkative and is attentive whenever you call her 5. Bathrooms are major put off. This could be really problematic if you are visiting in winters. The fittings don't work properly. The latch does not fit for the door. There is no fresh air fan. No jet and the overall experience of going to bathroom is not at all good. 5. The kitchen is okey and the host of cooperative in coming food. She charges extra for breakfast so don't get into an arguement later 6. The Heater is a problem if you are visiting in winters. It gets really ckld and due to the power cord, you can not keep heater on for more than an hour. 7. Garden is good, dogs are friendly and the place is quiet mostly. 8. Getting a taxi is okay when coming from town but if you have to go to town it could be a bit challenge. 9. Host has potential to run it better but she is a bit out of staff. 10. Overall value for money is low (2000 per night) with the kind of amenities it offers today. …
A beautiful place to stay if you prefer homestay.. surrounded by serene view of snow clad mountains, fields, Paro Dzong and river, and with a wonderful family as your host, this is the best homestay with all the basic facilities, entertainments, and tasty food according to our taste. Sonam and family really made us feel comfortable. Do try the dart and archery kits available there for the guests.
It is situated near rema resort, river flows in front of it and there is a small hill on the backside, what could beat that, on the left you get beautiful view of Paro Dzong. Very peaceful, very calm. Room and bathroom were clean. Sonam and family were nice and helpful. Food was good and fairly price. Only problem was getting taxi but you can walk for about 1KM and there is a taxi stand right across the bridge.
