We arrived in Venice on a ferry fro Croatia. We took a water taxi from the hotel to the airport. It's expensive but worth it!

Either book online in advance or go to the water taxi station to book it on sight. Don't book through those travel agency booths directly opposite arrival. They charge twice as much and they drive you to a port then you take a short ride of the water taxi, instead of water taxi all the way.

I am not allowed to post a link on here but Google the water taxi. We had a great guy collect us at the airport (waiting with our name displaying), take us in a Mercedes to the water..20 minute trip..then there is a boat waiting to take you directly to the Hotel. I think it was €180 and worth every cent!

We went to a central location in the airport to book the water taxi. I didn't feel we were being ripped off - it was just expensive. I bought a round trip ticket before we started so we saved a bit by doing that.

Water taxi, bookable in advance. They have a "captive market" so it's not cheap, but is better value than a taxi. Be aware that the location of your hotel relative to the canals and the arrangwment you make with the water taxi company will determine whether they take you to the door of your hotel or to the nearest jetti. You may have a walk from there to your hotel. Exploring the many narrow streets is part of the experience, so take your time. Ignore things you may see on the internet about wheeled luggage being banned from the streets; they're not.

Water taxi from the airport. Book online or at the airport as it’s will cost a lot less than the hotel arranging it.

Water taxi is the best option. I believe the hotel can arrange this for you

We took the public water taxi there and paid a guy at the drop off in town to tow our bags to our hotel. We over paid him because he basically used a rickshaw to carry our heavy bags! We took the Water taxi from our hotel back to the airport which was 70 euros but totally worth it. Very convenient.

Boat bus from the airport is easy and costs £16 per person.

Water taxi for same trip was around £120. Completely unnecessary!

By powerboat taxi. Ours was precooked with our tour, I am sure though they are available on request at the wharf. It is expensive!

We took a private transfer by boat which is def worth the money. You can catch the -'boat bus' which is basically a big boat that stops at various places.
