Enjoyed a nice hike on a cooler day in this beautiful, well maintained preserve. Aside from encountering a few hikers who were sorely lacking in trail etiquette, a pleasant afternoon in the woods. $5 parking fee.

We explored the trails at Glenn Helen and enjoyed our visit. We plan to come back and explore some of the trails we did not go on. There are several small waterfalls in along the trails. The main trail is only around a mile and a half to 2 miles and at is a fairly easy hike. There are several sets of rock steps along the trail that might be hard if you are older or have some disabilities. A lot to see here. One could spend several hours exploring if you see it all. If you cross the bridge above the big water fall know that if you continue on the trail across the bridge you will have to jump rocks to get back across the stream. If you don’t want to jump rocks you will have to come back to the bridge to cross and walk on the path back to the parking lot.

Lovely hiking trails that were good for us and the kids. Highly recommended. There are many trails to hike and a very handy QR code on the sign post at car park for trail map.

I love hiking in Glen Helen. They have changed hands in the last year and the biggest plus is the addition of intersection #s on the trail. Download the new map and you will know exactly where you are.

The Glen Helen Nature Preserve is just across the street from Yellow Springs downtown. Great trees and trails. Some of the trails can be closed for repair. Check ahead.

This was the first time we visited Yellow Springs and after reading Trip Advisors reviews we decided to hike Glen Helen Preserve...We did the inside loop that was 1.6 miles but felt a lot longer due to the steep hills...It was a beautiful walk through the woods with pretty views of water streams and water falls...Just one word of caution before you start down the path... it is very steep and very hard to get back up...I would highly recommend this trail!!!

There was such a wide variety of flora and terrain here. We loved the waterfall and swampy areas especially. The main trails are one-way only with masks required. Smart due to the large volume of people there.
Costs $ to park, but it's worth it to support the park.

This is a great place to hike - the Yellow Spring is absolutely beautifuI. I recommend using the public bathroom at the Yellow Springs Station on Railroad Street as the restrooms here are closed due to COVID-19. Parking here is $5.00. I stayed at the Arthur Morgan House Bed and Breakfast which is very close to here. I walked down the bike path after my hike so that I could explore the Womens' Park and Antioch College.

This was our first time visiting Yellow Springs. We parked at the Quarry Street parking lot which was $5 to park. The Ecological Center as well as bathrooms were closed at the the time due to COVID. So you will need to go into town to use the bathroom (we just went to Young’s Dairy Farm). You are asked to wear your mask when passing others on the path and people were good about doing so. You can download a map once you get there. Signs are posted along the trail saying one way or two way so make sure you are going the correct direction. We didn’t have any issues getting around. We wore hiking boots which made it easy to hike the trails. We loved it and would love to go back again to hike more of Glen Helen. On this trip we got to see the The Grotto, The Old Dam Bridge, The Yellow Spring, Helen’s Stone, The Cascade’s, and Pompey’s Pillar. Would recommend for a fun day of hiking!
