Such a beautiful park to spend a few hours at. Ample things to do for the entire family. We enjoyed the Woodland Indian Village, exploring the different type of buildings that were found in an Indian village.

Not only did we enjoy the village, but the trails as well. Trails were easily marked and were suitable for all ages. We enjoyed the trail that to took us to the waterfall just above Hosterman Lake.

Highly recommend this place if you enjoy the outdoors for hiking and picnicking. Or looking to learn how local Indians lived and took care of the land. Want to return when the nearby interpretive center and historical house are opened (closed due to COVID)

George Rogers Clark Park is an awesome park just a bit west of Springfield, Ohio.
It is beautiful anytime of year. A lake for fishing, woods to walk in and, in the fall, there’s a fair at New Boston.
This fair is a re-enactment that recreates the Battle of Piqua
The Battle of Piqua (also Peckowee, Pekowi, Peckuwe, Pickaway and others), was a military engagement fought on Aug. 8, 1780 at the Indian village of Piqua along the Mad River in western Ohio Country between the Kentucky militia under Gen. George Rogers Clark and Shawnee Indians under Chief Black Hoof. The Indians were driven off and the village and surrounding fields burned, but Clark suffered daunting casualties.
There is a village that recreates how Indians and white man lived in those times.
It is definitely worth going to at least once!! Kids will love it too.

We have been here several times. This is a Clark County park. Great historical significance as the birth place of Tecumseh and the historical battle to stop the infiltration of whites.
Every year on Labor Day the park hosts the Fair at New Boston. It’s very much like Williamsburg Virginia. Everyone is in Costume and the whole park is set to be in the 1700’s. Great, Great Fair!!!

A nice park, with lot of space dedicated to recreational activities, including barbecue areas and possibility to fish. Follow the provided indication to see which fish species can be kept or just for catch and ralease. The trails re well marked and easy to follow. The nature around the lake and creeks is rich and truly amazing, above all with the sunset colours.
The negative point is that the park is relatively close to the motorway, so not really quiet.

I have been visiting this park for the past 50 plus years. It is a quiet slice of Ohio history. The house at the entry was a part of the Underground Railroad in the mid 1850's but prior to that , it was the birthplace of the Indian Warrior, Tecumseh, and the site of the Battle of Piqua. There are now replicas of Indian lodging and pioneer homes. Just being there allows you to step back in time to the late 1700s and early 1800s.

As a kid I used to go here a play in the creek. As an adult I see how limited the park is. The best thing about the park now is that it host a CC meet each year.

We didn’t have a whole lot of time to spend here, but we’re so glad we took the time to stop! The fall colors are beautiful right now.

We went to the park several times but the most special event happens on Labor Day in September. There is a reenactment of Revolutionary soldiers and American Native Indians. Canons are fired, gunshots, Yelling Indians! Gets pretty exciting! There are encampments of Native Americans off in the woods you can explore. There is a museum to go through that is an original house for the time. Replication of an old fort, crafters are set up selling wares from long ago. Plenty of eats and treats to go around as well. People dressed for the times and a Civil War Cemetery to add to it. Children can learn a lot from the experience and admittance is about $ 10 to $12 dollars for adults. It makes for a great day.
