We didn't explore this building, but drove by it a couple times. Wish we could have toured it. Just a beautiful old building with striking architecture! Lovely grounds. Love the columns and portico. Very impressive.

Niiiiice building located in the heart of Coral Gables.
Parking is available around it and you can pay with the pay by phone app.
I took this great pictures while I enjoyed my coffee the day of the farmers market !!

At the end of the Miracle Mile, Coral Way, stands this striking City Hall. You cannot miss it as it's architecture differs and stands out of everything around.
There's a small sq in front, as well a nice fountain. The City Hall is built in a Spanish style during the 20's last century.

George Merrick’s dream became a reality and he stands in front of the beautiful hundred-year-old structure. Streets are colorful, fountains surrounding are Spanish themed old city hall are beautiful. A shame it was closed and there were some seedy characters hanging around on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Built in 1928, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Coral Gables City Hall houses the Mayor's Office, City Commission, Building Department and other City offices. Well maintained as is the entire City of Coral Gables.

Another interesting piece of Old Coral Gables architecture well worth at least a look. The Coral Gables Farmers Market is held nearby on Saturdays in season.

Visite la plaza del City Hall ahora en diciembre en plena navidad, el lugar bellamente decorado, la arquitectura del edificio es hermosa yel lugar esta muy bien cuidado con su escultura y jardines.

I grew up in Miami, and know this building well. It's one of the architectural highlights of Coral Gables, the Miami suburb which is famous for its elegant homes, the fantastic Biltmore Hotel, and this City Hall. The City of Coral Gables was one man's dream, and he developed it in the roaring twenties, which were really roaring in Miami. Everything in Coral Gables today is Spanish in style, including the names of all the streets, etc., which feature fountains and plazas at all major intersections. (The City Hall is directly on LeJeune Road and Coral Way, so it's easy to find.) Most all the vintage houses in Coral Gables are also in the elegant Mediterranean style, with beautiful ornaments, fountains,and courtyards. It's all because that style was all the rage in the 1920's--at the same time the early movie stars in Hollywood were building similar-styled mansions. One of the most fascinating things about the City Hall is that the oolitic limestone (which we always called "Coral Rock") was quarried from a place in the city nearby. And then the quarry was turned into another Coral Gables landmark, magnificent Venetian Pool, a huge municipal swimming pool built in Venetian style architecture, with an island, restaurant, and tall palm trees. Don't know if you can tour the City Hall these days, but don't miss Venetian Pool!

Non è una attrazione, se siete in giro in questo splendido quartiere, lo vedrete.. ma venire per questo proprio no.

This city was built in the 1920's and when visiting City Hall you feel like you are back in the Roaring 20s! I was so impressed that I put together a video on my Youtube channel at "thewrightsights". Check out the history of this Beautiful City!
