We used Karmel for our airport transfers. Both drivers were punctual and friendly. Both vehicles tidy. Recommend this company for airport transfers makes life easier.

We were sent a bus with a very foul odor. There were frequent promises to remedy the odor but it persisted throughout our near 12 hour long charter service. When the driver took a longer route (the 101) we unfortunately found out the restroom was not functioning. Several passengers were in pain/tears and were told to wait as we were almost at our destination (Griffith Observatory). First bad trip with Karmel, but this one was horrible.

Advised to ring on pay phone at airport if not using your mobile phone but they have all been removed. Concierge at airport rang for us. Had no problem locating driver and he was very helpful and friendly. Great luxury car. Would have no problem recommending this company and using them again

We bought two tickets to Knotts Berry Farm from Karmel Shuttle Extreme Tours. When we got up to the entrance my husbands ticket allowed him entry but my ticket had been used by another man in September. We are not from the area and had never shared or sold our tickets to anyone. I was not allowed entry into the park and I had to buy another park ticket for myself from Knotts directly. It was a horrible experience. I am afraid I won’t be using this company’s services again.

5 stars for this company. Fantastic communication before trip with reminders. The drivers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Will use them again if we are ever back this way.

Having recently used Karmel Shuttle's services for my LAX transfer, I'm thoroughly pleased. Their punctuality, clean vehicles, and courteous drivers made the journey seamless. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident, and their variety of vehicle options is impressive. I'm excited to explore their Los Angeles tours in the future. Karmel Shuttle's reputation as a top shuttle service in southern California is well-deserved.

The pickup from LAX International Airport on Monday the 24th of July 2023 to Hyatt Regency Orange Couty was smooth one. The driver was very communicative from the beginning to the end. Thank you for your amazing service.

There were 10 of us, so we booked 2 shuttles of 5 each.
Both shuttles arrived right on time.
For some reason, the shuttle held 10, but they still sent 2 shuttles and made one of them go pick up 3 others, which meant a lot of driving around as the incorrect address had been given to the driver for the second pickup.
Arrived at the airport in plenty of time for our flight.
Karmel had told us the pickup time, based on our flight.
Driver was excellent and friendly - really lovely.
I would use Karmel again.

Orlando was our driver and he was a wonderful driver! He kept a good conversion going while driving us to our hotel safely! We will be requesting him again!

Great service and dependable! Got stuck on the plane, and the driver waited until we were finally able to make it through baggage claim. Rosario was super friendly and a great driver!

Has anyone travelled with children. Using the service. Do we need car seats on the transfer from the airport to the hotels. We are using a shared van/bus.

Infants and children are NOT permitted to ride on the lap of another passenger!
Each passenger must have an assigned seat and seat belt...including infants. Please indicate the total number of children traveling. Infants must have an infant carrier and are not permitted to be held.
Please be aware that we DO NOT provide child restraint/safety/booster seats as there are several types and designs that are specifically designed to meet each child’s age, weight and height variables. It is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian to bring a child restraint/safety/booster seat.

Hi Emma. I don’t provide transport but I used Karmel Shuttle from Long Beach to LAX and were very impressed with both their service and promptness. Even though we were the only ones in the shuttle we were still charged like it was full. I booked and paid online. I would highly recommend them.

For a pickup time from the airport, do you put the time your flight arrives or when you expect to be through customs?

Yes karmel do have a toll free number. However the only phones we could find were outside the bag area. It's crowded and hard to hear. If you don't phone it doesn't seem you get picked up. When we found one from landing at about 11oopm its the last thing you want any hassle with. We ended up phoning twice and eventually our one came with its number on the side and was told rudely she'd been driving around looking for us. Then things got worse....she pulled off the freeway on the way to Anaheim and was obviously lost. We were the only ones in the van so no excuse to pull off and drive around Norwalk. We eventually got to Anaheim one hour after pick up. Our transfer back to the airport wasn't good either..late pick up and just made it to the flight. Seems they didn't factor in early morning traffic woes. I wouldn't use them again but don't know they compare with others.
leave LAX at 19:15, would it be good to book round trip transfer or book single trip to hotel + shop till dropoff on the date of return？

They actually have a great program that will take you to the Citidel to shop before your flight. They will store your luggage and shopping bags in their VIP lounge. I did that before during Christmas time and it was such a nice relief to have somewhere to store my shopping bags. I didn't have to rush through all the stores with arms full of bags.

I there a free pay phone at LAX to phone Karmel Shuttle when you land at LAX? Only I get that impression from a few of the reviews...if so where do I go to find this?

Finding the Free Pay Phone was very hard, but we did spot one!
When you get through customs, and out into the arrivals area with all the public, the free pay phones were to the left at the very end of the building on the wall.
We could not see any in the baggage collection area which Karmel Shuttle advises..

I have booked 9 Passenger Van (Shared Van) through your website for my 2 guests.I give my credit card details for the payment.but until now, I don't see the transaction with karmel on my credit card billing statement.
will my guests need to show my credit card to settle the payment?or are you going to charge my credit card later after the ride's done online?

I was billed immediately but I booked mine 2 days before arriving. I received a confirmation email but I never had to show that or my card. I just tipped the driver in cash.!

Hi Phillip - I am the manager you spoke with on the phone while traveling on-board our van. The hotel made the reservation for you through our res system. Your credit card declined. We needed to double check your credit card number or receive a new form of payment from you.
If I recall, you were transferred directly to the airport without stopping. The driver was going to stop so you could resolve it with our office. This poor driver did not get paid by you for this service. I ask that you double check your credit card and you will see there are no charges, as the card was declined. But did the driver stop when asked to double check your card number for accuracy. Did the driver stop when you refused to provide us with a new card number? NO!
Once you see there were no charges I ask that you re rate our service on this site. You got picked up and dropped off at your destination for no charge. I think we went above and beyond for you and to receive a negative rating from you is wrong. Wouldn't you agree?

Hi, I think there is some mix up here, You submitted this query 8 months ago, but I only travelled to the USA in December 2016 and also I made my reservation directly and not via the hotel.
