We listed this center while in Abu Dhabi and there was so much history to read about and many aspect of the culture to take in. Beautiful sight to visit.

Visiting this museum by car, don't be intimidated by the barriers across the gate. Drive up to them and the security person will lift them to allow you in. Continue driving towards the back of the site and you'll find the exhibition building, with covered parking on the left.
It's free admission and turning left and working anti-clockwise you'll see a room themed on the UAE postal service with interesting objects and displays. The next room displays the history of oil exploration in Abu Dhabi. It's clear to see Sheikh Zayed's influence here.
Continuing into the large exhibition space, there are seats in front of a television which shows a video summarising the UAE's history. Three of the Sheikh's cars (a Mayback, a Mercedes and a Range Rover) are displayed together with gifts and awards presented to him plus stuffed animals, skins and hides and weapons. Completing the visit, there are two rooms devoted to the Abu Dhabi police.
Reading the display boards, it's fascinating to gain an insight into the mindset and values of the ruling family and the people of this fascinating country and the role of a remarkable leader.

I would like to give 5/5 unfortunately I would take 1* from them
There is nice to see history of UAE, mostly about sheikh Zayed. You can see alot of his stuffs and information.
Unfortunately 40% of information are Arabic (but still have some english) also the place is huge but only one building that you can visit (Exhibition hall)
I love the location and atmosphere. You can see the sea, beach and small pier over there. Water was totally clear and blue.
Recommended to come to visit around 12-1 PM because the weather was good for a nice photography.
Administration is free.
Personal car is better than public transportation because alot of parking available.

There is some interesting tipbit on the Abu Dhabi, Zayed life styles and artifice with their recent history. How a poor, weak country turned into a rich and strong one.

This place only needs 1 hour. It is pretty small and if you are new to this region, you may like to take pictures. For me, I did not find it very exciting. It is a good place just to visually see the history instead of reading about it in the papers. In fact, I can barely remember what is so special about this place. I gave it 3 stars because of parking.

Villaggio dove si è cercato di ricreare gli aspetti della vita negli Emirati prima della scoperta del petrolio. Nulla di particolarmente attraente. Qualche negozietto , una bella vista sulla skyline di Abu Dhabi e le foto degli anni sessanta che dimostrano cosa è stato fatto in sessant’anni: incredibile

개인 취향이긴 했지만 굳이 갈 필요는 없었던곳 같아요. 별 특별한것 없는 그냥 그런 전시물들을 쓱 둘러보고 나온 느낌이었습니다.

Not visiting the Heritage Center would have kept a lot out of my UAE experience. Seeing how they showcased their past way of life increased my understanding and respect for the people of this land.

I visit before also but this time its special because one of the best FIREWORK i seen in this park.That is outstanding FIREWORK and water lake show. i have best new year night in this place.

Thanks for your review of the Zayed Heritage Center. I know it is a seperate attraction from the Heritage Village but is the Zayed center in the heritage Village?

It isn't far. If you get the Hop On Hop Off bus to the Heritage Centre, then once you are done there get the bus to Zayed Exhibition. It takes about 2 hours to see the \heritage Centre and there are good views of the Abu Dhabi Skyline. The Zayed Museum will take about an hour - it is very interesting. It would not be that much if you got a taxi if you did not wan to get the Hop On Hop Off bus.
this centre use to sell hand made soaps they would be wrapped in clear cellophane wrap. do they still sell this if so what is it called or the contact info for who sells it.

Closed on Fridays and weekend. We travelled with driver/guide down from Ajman so sorry can't help with directions. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and also suggest you have a look at the centre's website
