This museum is permanently closed and so is not open to any visitors. Unfortunate, as it was across the street from our hotel.

Tiene muchos objetos donados por familias de la región. Tocados, vestidos, diademas, objetos de cocina. Da un idea muy clara de la moda y las costumbres. Es pequeño, pero está muy bien mantenido.

We had a great tour here from the guide. Some examples of traditional Palestinian dress, an incredible section of Roman aqueduct, and some items found during excavation, and some thought provoking exhibits

Αξίζει να δείτε αυτό το μουσείο πρώτον γιατί έχει αντικείμενα εποχής όπως τοπικές παραδοσιακές ενδυμασίες, δεύτερον έχει σε καλή κατάσταση σε ένα σημείο το ρωμαϊκό υδραγωγείο τον Ρωμαίων που έφερναν με αυτό το νερό στην περιοχή και τρίτον είναι δωρεάν.

This is a modern and immaculate facility, the sort of museum you'd expect to find in New York or a big western city. You take your time and it pays off. I found a lot of interesting displays and was pleasantly surprised at how interesting the film of the area over a hundred years ago in their cinema was. Upstairs you see a Palestinian passport on display (a must see for all those who say Palestine never existed) and a number of other interesting displays. The museum's emphasis is on the local Christian community.
At the end of the museum you discover a lovely restaurant, which they don't mind you treating as a cafe for a coffee too. My wife had to cold, I was with a friend, so this is a must to return to with her. Really really nice.
Amusingly, as you leave they have an old tree on display beside a tear gas canister tree. This is funny and poignant, but also a nice touch as having just studied so many years of fascinating culture and history you see clearly how absurd this tear gas situation is.

Besides being a museum they have a gallery with local christian talent on display..and a wonderful and tastefully decorated restaurant called Al Karmeh that serves local Palestinian food & hospitality!

Одно из мест Вифлеема, которое обязательно для посещения. Богатый музей, как с точки зрения экспонатов, так и их возраста. Многие изделия и вещи трепетно собирались по всем регионам и находятся в ведение Фонда наследия Палестины. Особо хочется отметить изделия из оливкового дерева разных поколений династии Захария..

I would go for the aqueduct and to see the 3,800 year old pottery at the very least.
Our excellent Bethlehem museum tour guide (Mustafa) told us that the aqueduct was found in the 70's when they were originally going to build the museum on this spot...they preserved the aqueduct making it a part of the museum interior. It is remarkable!
This is a rather small museum however what they have is well worth the stop.
Be sure to stop in and enjoy their restaurant on the second level for great atmosphere, service and very good food...currently, if you dine at the restaurant for lunch admission to the museum is free.
The Bethlehem museum also has a very large gift shop with items ranging from one of a kind antiques, jewelry, wood carvings, food items, and various other souvenirs.

Interessante ed accogliente il locale ristorante-bar al primo piano. personale molto disponibile e gentile, arredamento rilassante, bella luce e musica, wi-fi, e comode poltrone dove passare qualche ora in relax.
