Andriy gave us an excellent tour of the Belem neighborhood, including the Jeronimos Monastery, the Tower of Belem, and the Monument of the Discoveries. He was very knowledgeable about each of the locations and the history of the area. We thought the Pastel de Belem was the best pastry we had in Lisbon. We would definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning more about the Belem area.

Tough for those from the US to wake up so early, but it was the perfect time and length to learn about Portugal's Age of Exploration and try the iconic Pastéis de Belém. The amount of detail and historical context was remarkable and fascinating.

Amazing tour of Belem. Highly recommend Andriy as your tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and impressed us all. Great tour to see the beauties of Belem and appreciate the monastery.

This small group tour of Belem was exactly what we were looking for! Our guide Andriy was excellent, so informative and pleasant to be around. We had good communication prior to the tour, so knew exactly where to meet and what to expect.
We got to try Pasteis de Belem (SO good), get priority entrance to the gorgeous Jeronimos Monastery, learn the history of the area including the Belem Tower and Monument of the Discoveries. The 3-hour tour (and 15-minute break in a museum coffee shop) flew by!
I highly recommend this tour, excellent value for price paid.

Our tour guide Rui was very knowledgeable, even offered a complimentary pastry which was nice! The monastery is beautiful and the walk to Belem Tower is also nice!

This tour is a must! Rui, our tour guide was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. He was detailed in his information and pacing of the tour.
The gothic architecture at the Jeronimos Monestary was beautiful, and impressive. The tour of the surrounding marina area added to the experience. A stop at the Pasteis de Belem provided a delicious treat sprinkled with a touch of history.

I had read in many places that there was no way to skip the mile long line at Jeronimos Monastery, even if you purchase online tickets beforehand and showed up early. This tour was a great workaround, that our entire family really enjoyed, above and beyond skipping the line. (FYI The monastery allows guided tours to skip the line!). Our tour guide Ruà Fernandes was excellent (and had his own fascinating colonial Portuguese family history). He was prompt, kind, knowledgeable, and patient. He made it interesting even to our 2 older teens. The tour even included a stop for a pasteis de belem 😊 Our family always does guided tours in new cities, and definitely recommend this one!

Excellent tour! Our tour guide (unfortunately we did not catch his name but know that his family is Ukrainian) was very knowledgeable about the history of Belem and pointed out many subtle details about the monastery. The pasteis de Belem was a wonderful treat and in my opinion, the best one! Would 100% recommend!

Our guide Andriy was super knowledgeable and fun! He led the tour at the perfect pace and followed the itinerary as described in the listing. We had a short break and also enjoyed a tasty treat! I highly recommend this tour to everyone. I would definitely seek out Andriy on our next trip!

Can we take mobility scooter for this trip. If not rollator? for someone with limited mobility? What other option in this condition can you suggest.?

Crowded. If go during high season then will have difficulty. Have stairs no elevators. Will have mobility issues to due crowds and stairs.

Does the tour include admission to Belem Tower and the Monastery? Also how do you get to the area of Belem?

We did not go to Belem Tower as they were preparing for a concert and the crowds were gathering. We did pay admission for the cloisters which then gave us entry to the rest of the monastery. Andriy knew a shortcut to purchase the tickets so we did not have to wait in line. You can get to Belem by bus or train - quite easy.

On this tour will we go inside the monastery and also the cloisters? Does the tour price include the cloisters? If not included how can tickets be purchased to avoid long lines?

We did have to pay for the Cloisters but Andriy had a shortcut so we did not have to wait in line. This ticket also included entry to the monastery. No need to purchase ahead of time. We also paid for our own pastries.

Yes you can. I was a single traveler too. It just turned out to be a private tour because the other two people canceled
